I R O N H E A R T ♂

The days were getting shorter, as they were getting cooler. Big Lake had yet to have a horrible winter so far, but Ironheart felt it would be different this year. Muscles danced beneath of vanished roan pelt of his as he drifted across his lands. Auds pereked, optics searching for his son,Excalibur. The rebellionish colt had wondered off again, which wasn't unlike him one bit. Ironheart shook out his mane, nostrils flared as he called out to all members of his herd. Auds perked once more, awaiting for a reply. Mind boggled for a bit, wondering just how bad this winter would be.

What tolls would it take on the mares, the foals, and coming foals to soon drop of his?. The elderly, how would be be able to protect them?.

The cold wind pulled at her ivory tresses as she made her way across this new land. Amber eyes scanned the terrain before her, as her hooves placed themselves surely with each step they took. She knew she was in a station's  territory, but she didn' care. She planned to be here no longer than needed to be. Unless she decided else wise tonchnagw her mind and call this home for the winter. She soon found herself walking the shore of a vast lake, and found a suitable spot to settle at to take a drink. She took  few swallows, auds flicked around listening to her surroundings, she lifted her head, and licked her lips of the dripping water, Amber orbs focusing on a figure in the distance. She let out a snort, hoping she would have made it out here without being noticed.

E X C A L I B U R ♂

The young brute was playing off into the distance from his fathers reach; bucking and running. Chasing what all he coul chase, twin towers perked. The boy stood up straight and tall as he listened; there was someone near; someone coming closer. Tiny nostrils flared,arching his neck the boy pranced closer to the sound. And there she stood, optics scanned the mare; crown tilted ever so slightly as curiosity got the best of him. Excalibur whickered towards her, standing just feet away, he wondered who she was, where did she come from. Why was she hear?. "Who are you?; state your purpose here" ahh, that little voice. He was Ironhearts son indeed; his bravery would do well one day as he got older. But for now, he wanted answers right away, a little pushy he was. But he didnt care, neck arched once more. Muscles danced beneath his coat as he pranced in place, awaiting the mares answers. He was rather more cute then he was vicious.

Auds flicked to the sound of little hooves prancing toward her. Cranium turned, and orbs spotted the little appaloosa colt coming toward her. Well her wishful thinking went up in smoke, of not being spotted.. Oh good gracious, have mercy on her. Auds pinned back and nares snorted sharply at him, a subtle warning for the colt to watch himself. Amber eyes looked him over as he started babbling off wanting to know who she was, and why she was here. As annoying as the little boy was straight away, he was cute babe. "I am Yanaba. My intent is to only pass through the territory." honeyed voice spoke, with a hint of gruffness to the tone. "Now who are you squirt?" she asked him, as she cocked a hoof, relaxing it a bit for the moment.

Twin towers perked, dial slightly tilted as he listened to the golden woman; who was she to demand who he was?. Calling the roan a squirt; nostrils flared - shaking out his mane. "ha.." tail flicked his hindquarters as he pranced in place "Im Excalibur; son of Ironheart. King of these lands" he stopped for a moment, nearly puffing out his chest. The boy arched his nape and pranced closer to her "why are you so lonely?" he questioned. Now the mare was interesting to him; he waned to know more. Where did she come from, there was others besides his father and he?. There was more lands to roam?. He smirked once more; tiny caramel optics watched her curiously. "don't you ever wish you have a home?" He was indeed a growing, curious foal now. Twin towers flicked as he heard another call; head turned over his shoulders. Listening for a moment, the call wasnt coming any closer... which was a good sign, meant his father was headed in the other direction. Excalibur turned his attention back towards Yanaba, awaiting her response.

SWANSKI

As she listened to the young colt, the thoughts rolled through her mind. Well no wonder this kid is so high up on himself, his daddy's the 'king' of these lands... Does he ever stop talking? A road runner would be better company right now over this kid , they dont run their thoughs as far as theor feet. Gees this kid is nosey about my personal life. She didn' speak aloud of her thoughts, but she figured she would use this time as some kind of entertainment, teach this kids that there was more to life outside a herd, so much more.

 She tilted her head, when at his assumptions that she was so lonely. Where on earth did he learn that? Oh yeah probably his father, the king. "Listen here kiddo.. I am not lonely, I prefer to not be in the company of others so much, I'm not one to conform to the rules of herd living." She started off, letting her words sink I to his seemingly simple mind. "I'm a wanderer, I come and go where ever I please, where ever my hooves will take me through. I am not the typical, damsel in distress kind of mare who needs a stallion to take care of me and protect me. I am well capable of doing so on my own." She retorted.  "There is far more to life, so much to see, than being within the confines of a herd."
