Wide morning sky created a canvas of stunning brilliance to frame the mare. Dawn sunlight set her golden coat ablaze as if she had bathed in gold. She was the sky, golden and stunning, crisp cloud patches roamed aimlessly over her hide, and a dark stripe of burnished gold ran down her spine. A finely sculpted head greets the morning like a friend, the mare was kin to the sky and desert sands, carefully crafted from harsh environments and seized opportunities. Despite being a tad bit shaggy, the mare was ruggedly beautiful and dangerous in her own right, she bore her elegance with fire and passion.
Despite being in another stallion's claim, the mare was not nervous nor flighty. Steps were taken with fluid confidence as if she strode upon her own land. The cool refreshing scent of moisture was heavy in her nostrils and utterly tempting on her tongue. There before her shimmered a large lake. It had been far too long since the painted mare had last seen such a quantity of drinkable water in one place. She was knee deep in seconds, despite the bitterly cold desert morning. Her sandpaper throat was soothed by the icy liquid as it numbed her tongue with the sudden shock of frigidness it brought. With a toss of her head, water beads flew from her muzzle, catching the light like small daytime stars. Fangs of cold were clinging to her legs, but the mare waded deeper until the water lifted her off her hooves. She was weightless, drifting through wetness and ice, letting it claim her up to her withers. Thick ebony cords of her mane floated beside her, her powerful legs stirring the water to keep herself afloat.
Finally, with half-frozen muscles, the mare climbed from the lake, taking the time to shake the moisture from her coat like bothersome flies. While the grazing had been nearly nonexistent throughout the rest of the territory, it thrived by the water's edge. Raven tail swished idly at her flanks while she grazed, ears swiveling to catch the small sounds of insects. Suddenly startled, the mare lifted her head, staring towards the sky, as a shadow swooped across the landscape. A large bird of prey, one she had never seen before called to its fellows on the wind. Thea took a moment to look around, it suited her here, but already the land lay to someone else. The mare would move on in a few days time, maybe less if the vague musk of the ruling stallion grew stronger. Maybe more if it didn't.

Tis the dawn of a new day; the stage had been out patrolling and walking his lands before the sun was even awake. steam rolled from his nostrils as the warmth escaped, the air was colder then yesterday. C'zar was certain snow would fall soon, daggers cracked against the dry earth as he closed in on the end of Falcon Valley. Twin towers swiveled, he could hear the splash of water, the scent of another was so welcoming - what the hell?.
An intruder had made their way into his new lands, and he wasnt even aware of it. C'zar grew irritated quickly. Nape arched as he shook out his mane, daggers dug into mother earth as the large brute quickly carried himself to the watering source. Twin towers pinned flat against his dial.
Caramel optics scanned his lands, nape lowered as he picked up the scent of the others trail; a mare. but still alarming, who was she, and what was she doing on his territory?. C'zar wasnt afraid to harm anyone who came to challenge him; male or female; they would regret it.
Muscles danced beneath his coat once more as he come upon the paint, closing in on her. Twin towers stayed pinned, coming to a halt, he pawed the ground beneath him, sitrring up dust. He watched her, it seemed the creature had went days without a drink. From the way she continued to take in the liquid that was, he whickered to her. Arching his nape once more "whats the purpose of your arrival" he questioned which deep lyrics. They posed no threat, but were bold and deep enough. At this point C'zar was ready for anything; for her the fleet, for her to attack; for her to do whatever she thought she needed to escape from him.

The strong scent of a stallion clogged her paper-thin nostrils as the dark shape loomed upon the horizon. It was quite the scene, muscles rippling like a turbulent sea under his ebony hide. The stallion was completely different than the hardy bachelors, taller, for one. She had come across a few raven colored horses throughout her travels, but this equine was so dark, the pigment seemed deep and inky, blacker than the darkest winter night. His mane too shared the intense hue of ebony, but it fell over the equally bewildering arched neck like rolling storm clouds. Large hooves were adorned with dark tufts of hair, the likes of which the mare had never encountered in the native horseflesh that roamed the wild lands. This horse didn't look like a band stallion, he looked like a king.
The mare would be lying if she said she wasn't the least bit intimidated. Perhaps it was a natural response, however, the mare combated her slight anxiety with fire. Standing taller the mare's ears flattened, disappearing into her raven mane. Her stance was rigid, eyes blazing with challenge. "I'm here for a drink. What else would I be doing?" She snapped, a hoof scraping the ground. Any other mare would have either turned tail and fled, or given in to the dark equine. However, Thea was not in the mood to yield. It had been far too long since she had last found a sustainable water source, and longer still since she had been weightless in the frigid deepness of the water. To turn away now would be foolish, leaving behind the water and vegetation for what? A mere stallion? She had fought off countless bachelors over the course of her short life, this would be no different.
Her tail lashed irritably against her flanks. Despite the openness of the terrain, she felt cornered. Trapped between the intimidating grandeur of the dark stallion, and her own unwillingness to submit.

"I'm here for a drink. What else would I be doing?" C'zar nearly laughed as the mare lashed out with harsh words, and for what?. She seemed a bit of a spitfire, but she was no threat to him. At this point, she was more entertaining then anything. He chuckled, unable to hold his amusement from her response; oh he'd caught hell from it he was certain of it. Twin towers remained pinned, muscles rippled beneath his pelt once more as he took a few more steps towards her. It had been years since he had the company of a female, or the company of any. C'zar had grown so use to being alone; it was more like habit to come off harsh. But did he care?. Nah, the mare was quit the looker - unique in color and her attitude made her cute. But that didnt mean he had to bow and be polite to her either. At this point; she was stuck with him, even if the two didn't get along. Whether she liked it or not.
Lips parted; "so you think your big and bad ehh?" he hissed. If he would have been close enough, his white pearls would have tasted the skin from her nape itself. "is that how you play; just welcoming yourself upon others lands or homes?" he questioned once more.
Only this time the stud straightened himself up a bit; dial rose high. Muscles pressed against his coal colored coat as he stood his grounds. Mind pondered for a moment; should he move in and draw blood?. Or allow the squirt to continue drinking?. C'zar was never one to start the bull - but always one to finish it. With her attitude he could have some fun with her. He could chase her to the edge of his lands, before yanking her back inside his territories. He could bring blood and drain her of her energy. Ohh he could have so much fun with this mare. Or; he could listen to her and just let her go - drive her away from his lands and wish her the best of luck, but then what fun would that be?.

The mare's umber orbs narrowed at his chuckle. This stallion was laughing at her! A fire lit in her chest, enveloping her hide in the red-hot warmth of anger. This brutish stallion was no better than a loner, and to think, she once compared him to a king. With an ill-tempered snort, the mare tossed her head, shaking it aggressively. He approached, though not like a typical bachelor. There was a gleam of malcontent in his eye, this she saw. He didn't lust after her with snapping teeth and snaking neck, his movements were slow, calculated. Suspicion and dread crawled under her skin. Had she finally bitten off more than she could chew? Whether it be a brave or foolish move, they are quite often the same, the mare held her ground. Not giving this stallion an inch. The paint knew all about moving feet. She would not be the meek spotted mare who cowered beneath the trees and yielded yards with just a mere brush of the shoulder. Thea was blood and beauty, fire and fury, it boiled in her veins like poison.
He spoke now, the hiss of his breath through bared teeth sent her ears flat against her neck. Blunt equine teeth were much too close for comfort, but she would not yield. "I do not play" She spat back. "I survive." He was taller than she by a good bit. Standing at fifteen hands give or take the mare wasn't short, but she wasn't tall either. She did her best to meet his eyes, though with the proximity it was difficult. Moving away a bit, the dark equine began to pace. That was it, all bark and no bite? Disappointing, to say the least, but the mare couldn't help the relief that rolled over her. Ignoring this, she wasn't about to let some stallion laugh at her, much less get in her face without consequence.
She was indecisive, the stallion wasn't a weak-willed instinct driven bachelor, he looked and moved differently in a complex manner all his own. The mare was unaccustomed to such a thing, and the better part of her brain was screaming at her to escape while she could. However, the rage and offensive shimmering in her blood was on the verge of boiling over. On an impulse that might be her death sentence, the mare pulled back her lips and bared her teeth. She was flame and fervor, opulence and oppression. With hate in her veins and wildness in her heart, she lunged for the stallion's pacing flank. Aiming to drive him away from the water and leave her in peace. If she showed him her unrelenting and unyielding spirit, her cruel teeth and crushing hooves, then perhaps she might prove to him that despite her outward appearance she was sharper than a mountain lion's tooth and tougher than the towering Redstone canyons.

"I do not play" ..."I survive." and she did exactly as he has expected, lips pulled back .Pearly whites bared as he felt her fangs upon his flank. C'zar pawed at her cranium before slightly rearing "wrong survival kit!"he hissed, launching back towards her. C'zar wasnt a flank or back. No, he wanted her Esophagus. Back stilts pushed, launching the black carcass towards to ram her. Lips pulled back again as he lasted out. This time he didn't want to keep his space. Caramel optics narrowed towards the painted mare, he would give her credit for being fierce. But she was being fierce to the wrong one.
He pulled back, ready to launch at her once more. Using his full body weight was one advantage he had against her, along with his size. Optics watched her again, he was curious to see what she would do next before decided if he would launch again or not.
Not bad; hussy. I didnt think you had it in you". He chuckled, as he pasted, waiting. He seemed or in blood-lust. He hadnt had this much adrenaline since he was a love struck yearling. His second encounter with a mare and she seemed bullheaded to do prideful. C'zar wondered how she survived this long, but then again - maybe it was her bull headedness that kept the dame alive.
C'zar smirked towards her; ready for round two. He didnt care he was belly deep in the frozen waters - there was no fleeing for him, no leaving her alone now. She wanted to be combative; she got it. Although he couldnt help wonder if this was why she was a loner. As much as he wanted to open his big mouth.. he didnt. Even though she done pissed him off, he did have some manners. Most mares nowadays were nothing like his mare or the other mares he grown around; or crossed paths with. They always tried to be more brutal; ayy but the increase in over unwanted colts were the reasoning for that. He chuckled to himself at that thought before returning to reality and watching her every move. Awaiting for a response or reaction.

The satisfying softness of his flesh only fueled her fire as her teeth snagged and held, tearing the ebony hide. The stallion for his size was quicker than she expected, but her build was lithe and she was fleet of foot, managing to pivot away to avoid a blow to her head. His large hooves scraped her shoulder as she danced farther back, ears pinned and adrenaline pumping like lava through her veins. The stallion charged, off balancing her. Her smaller build couldn't stand the force which he threw at her and her back feet slipped. Hocks taking most of her weight as she rightened herself. Blunt teeth grabbed at her throat, once more she pulled back, lifting her front feet off the ground, pushing her knees against his chest. She leaped away, nimble as a mountain cat, and just as fierce. The whole exchange of blows was fast and over quickly, both equines squaring off once more.
His foul words were wasted on her, much too deep in her own head. She was thinking ahead, planning, scrutinizing for any weakness. He would not best her. Her shoulder was sore and bruised from his hooves, but other than hindering her movements a fraction, it did not affect the mare too greatly. Thea lunges sudden and quick, hooves digging into the frozen ground for purchase. Icey water numbs her legs as she extends her neck, teeth reaching for dark skin. The bottom of her neck is drenched as she grabs the softer skin where his front leg connects to the shoulder. Whirling around the mare aims to tear skin away from muscle and draw blood. Now with her rump facing the stallion's shoulder, she lashes out with her back feet, a bit unbalanced as her wounded shoulder bares her weight. She was venom and violence, gold and gore. A whirlwind of striking hooves and grabbing teeth.
